This competition is designed by Edge for educational purposes - our aim is to inspire and motivate young people to come up with ideas on how better to preserve our planet and focus on low-technology and real-world solutions to real problems. This task will test your students' ability to problem solve, work as a team and innovate. The prize is a trip of a lifetime to the Arctic!

We sent out a Schools Guide and Ice Edge posters in November with more information about the competition. I'm afraid we've now completely run out of posters, but you can download a digital (pdf) version of the Schools Guide by clicking here. You might also find our polar bear video a useful teaching aid.

In addition to the resources we have included on this website, you may wish to show your students The World Wildlife Fund video 'Our Living Planet'. It can be downloaded from www.climatechangecollege.org . Simply choose the 'galleries' option, then 'films' and select 'Our Living Planet' - it's about four minutes long.
